Making doburoku by burning firewood
As you enter the hallway, you will sense an atmosphere of the olden days that will make you feel like saying "I'm back home." This farm guesthouse will make you feel as if you are returning to your own hometown. The rooms are large Japanese-style rooms where you can rest and relax. Meals are served in a detached dining room. The landlady used an ample amount of seasonal ingredients in her handmade dishes, such as homegrown vegetables, vegetables from the mountains and fish from the streams. The Mihara rice cooked int a clay pot has an opulent flavor. The handmade pickles are also delicacies, and we highly recommend the family's own doburoku unrefined sake "Yomekko Katsura" that is dry and has a light koji malt aroma.
The "Maru" in the guesthouse's name comes from the name of the village. Tomitaro Makino road is nearby and you can enjoy a walk through nature.
